The food was amazing. The service impeccable. I love this place!

Family run - good food and wine. Service is personal and a bit informal. It makes for relaxed dinner setting. I would certainly go again.

The beef stroganoff was really good but we didn't love the beef goulash. The zucchini pancake with salmon was also really good!

Terribly slow and unfriendly service. My lamb chops, which should have been medium rare, were overcooked. Mashed potatoes had lumps, really unpleasant ones. Schnitzel was served partially burnt as well and without the ever-so-needed lemon wedge.Edit regarding the reply to my review: it has been over two years since I had tasted vodka, have not ordered it at this restaurant, and the lack of spirits has never informed my restaurant reviews (see my other almost 200 restaurant reviews all over the world). But the owners attitude, so vividly illustrated in the reply below, is but a taste of the quality of service one might expect to encounter it this establishment. As another reviewer stated: perfect example of the USSR era service, or "soviet service".

We were looking for a Russian restaurant found this one on google but it was the worst restaurant ever. There was a guy outside the restaurant minding you the restaurant was open and it said it was open on google but I nice we got there the guy told us it was close till 5pm and he walked in inside. We waited for 25 minutes till they open. Once inside we had looked at several items on their web manu. When the waiting came over we tried to order few items from the menu but he said they didn’t make them anymore then he told us let me when you are already and walked away. We had to wait for an other waiter which finally some waitress came and we ordered to main dishes. The food had no flavor and pelmeni’s were overcooked and breaking on pieces and not salt. The salad has no flavor and not salt. After all the food is over priced and no flavor. I won’t recommend this restaurant to anyone

I really enjoyed this place. The food was so good... So so good! My favorite was the stuffed cabbage rolls or Golubtsy. Although the Olivie salad and the dumplings were also delicious. Georgian wines were also very good. They only thing I regret was not being able to have dessert as the kitchen have closed when we had finished eating. I really wanted to try that Napoleon cake. It would also be nice if they had vodka... But I think they only have a beer and wine license. I'll definitely be back though!

Great food and fast service! Loved our soups and entries. Authentic Russian food, but modern and healthy, not soaked in oil like in some other restaurants. Very good Georgian red wines. Updates: They put a bit more tables in and took out the TVs that played Russian songs from 80s (thank you) Walls are now painted dark red color with lots of artwork on the walls. Parking is challenging, the parking lot across the restaurant is now condominiums, so it's street parking blocks away. Usual in SF.

Food was good and not too strong, I feel like I can take my American friends here. Some dishes/drinks are not on the menu (e.g. kvass). Wish the sampler tray came with some bread slices
